SWKAAA has joined with University of Kansas School of Social Welfare to offer the Peer Support Program in the Great Bend area.

The purpose of the Peer Support Program is to offer support to identified individuals on the Frail Elderly waiver who are receiving services through the Home and Community Based program an opportunity to have a trained volunteer assist them with meeting goals and objectives. The goals and objectives will assist those individuals to improve their depression and anxiety.

SWKAAA has received a grant from the Golden Belt Community Foundation of Great Bend to assist in accomplishing the goals of the program.

Volunteers who would be interested in participating in the program should contact SWKAAA at 1-800-742-9531.
