OKEP’s Job Listings

The Older Kansans Employment Program (OKEP) is a state funded program to assist individuals age 55 or older in securing employment. SWKAAA is the contracted provider for these and other employment services.

Following are a list of job openings. For more information about a particular job opening, please contact the OKEP counselor nearest you.

Highlighted Openings For Week of 8-30-10

Dodge City – Call Brandie Ferguson, OKEP Coordinator, for more information at 620-225-8230. SWKAAA’s office is located at 236 San Jose in Dodge City.

·        Driver – Will transport railroad crews. Position is on call.

·        Custodian – Part time position with the City.

·        Replenishment Associate – Daily replenishment of newly arriving merchandise.

Garden City – Call Brandie Ferguson, OKEP Coordinator, for more information at 620-225-8230. Brandie will be at the KanWorks office at 7^th & Spruce on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. SWKAAA’s office is located at 236 San Jose in Dodge City.

Medical Transcriptionist – Responsible for transcribing all required reports.

Cashier – Provide outstanding and quick check out service to customers at our registers.

Service Desk Associate – Responsible for providing customer service.

HOT JOBS! Dillons of Garden City is seeking people to provide carryout service during the day on weekdays only. For more information, contact Brandie Ferguson.

Great Bend – Call Brandie Ferguson, OKEP Coordinator, for more information at 620-225-8230. Brandie will be at the KanWorks office at 1025 Main at 10:00 a.m. on Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. SWKAAA’s office is located at 236 San Jose in Dodge City.

Security Officer – Responsible to patrol all assigned areas of the facility, respond to all calls/emergencies.

Accounts Receivable – Will maintain payments, postings, allowances and refunds electronically while accurately tracking all transactions offline through a general ledger.

Relief Food Service Aide – Operates point of sale machine, cleans tables, make coffee/espresso, prepares hot/cold food items, packaging and dishing food items.
